Who We Are
The Iowa State University student chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) supports undergraduates as they prepare for the workforce. Working closely with the department and industry representatives, we seek to prepare students for their future careers through professional development and networking events. We host many networking events that allow students to connect with industry professionals along with learning what those professionals look for in the hiring process. Our typical meeting time is 7 pm on Tuesdays.
What We Do
We support the development of undergraduates’ skills as they prepare for the workforce. Working closely with the department and industry representatives, we seek to prepare students for their future careers through professional development and networking events. Whether that be through regional and national gatherings with career fairs, ChE knowledge challenges, ChE car competitions, or research presentations the students involved with AIChE gain an upper hand in the search for careers along with the ability to connect with business professionals to enhance personal and academic goals.
What We Stand For
AIChE is geared towards assisting the professional development of future Iowa State Chemical Engineers and their ability to assist in the future generations’ ability to access more opportunities than previously granted. We strive to help form well-rounded individuals through exposure to alumni, professional development, and introduction to real-life applications of chemical engineering, whether that be through general AIChE gatherings, ChE car meetings, or regional/national AIChE conferences.
